Tundra Computer and Laptop Repair was started as a source of income after I, Jim Taliaferro, took over full-time care for a family member. This requires me to stay at home in case of any issues that may come up.

I have owned computers since 1984 when I began working at Tecmar in Streetsboro building expansion boards for the IBM PC, IBM PC Jr. and the brand new Macintosh.

Over time I have made every mistake that could be made on a computer and, as a consequence, learned how to fix it afterwards.

When I moved back to Ohio to take over care, I noticed a lot of friends and family with computer issues getting charged what I considered a lot of money for a repair that then took sometimes 2 weeks. I had started building websites at that time and decided to build one for our repair work.

I try to keep the prices uniform and low. Most of the work that I do ends up in the $50 to $75 range. Of course, if the machine needs parts that have to be ordered it takes longer but I would let you know before anything is ordered.

All the computers that I work on are opened up and blown out with compressed air then I go down a checklist to make sure we give the computer back to you in optimum shape.

If the issue with your machine is something that I can't fix there is no charge. I will give you all the information that I have at that time with a recommendation as to what your options are.
